A Day in Space - Information for the public - Parking

The date of the ISS contact is approaching and we would like to inform you about parking options near the venue. The University of Prešov has reserved one entire parking lot for us, where you will be able to park for free for the duration of the event, however, the number of parking spaces is limited. The entrance to the car park is protected by a barrier, which will be raised until the car park is full. When leaving the car park, the barrier will be raised automatically. Additional parking options are available on surrounding streets near the University. Please respect all local guidelines and regulations in place on the University campus.

Direct contact with ISS is coming up, date and astronaut's name known

Preparations of radio amateurs and the University of Prešov for the contact with the space crew are reaching their peak. The unique moment of making contact will be part of a programme that will popularise space in an engaging way. It will take place during the last weekend of January. It will be the first educational contact with the crew of the International Space Station in Slovakia. The University of Prešov is involved in a unique project. Within the framework of this project, technical specialists, i.e. radio amateurs, together with children from the Prešov and Košice regions will communicate directly with the crew in space in real time.
